Getting Involved

A project of this scale requires a tremendous effort by many people. Do you want to help? Do you have ideas?

While a lot of planning and exploration has already been done, we are still in the very early stages of this project. The success of the project will come from the support, ideas, and hard work from the diverse population of people who live in Upton.

Re-vitalizing any downtown can be both motivating and challenging.  It’s exciting to think of what it could be, but there are many challenges in making it come to life and watching the vision take shape.

The effort required to bring downtown Upton to life is both complicated and requires a tremendous amount of effort. The downtown vision is by no means a “done deal”. For the vision to become a reality, it will require the endorsement of town voters. And once the vision is set, there will be many future challenges in making it a reality.

If you have ideas, a talent, or want to know how you can be a part of this vision, then we want to hear from you.  “Who do I contact?”, you ask.  That’s easy.  Reach out to any Economic Development Committee Member (EDC).  They are listed below:

Eugene Bernat (Chairperson)

Bill McCormick

Donna Desjardins

Steven Rakitin

Dave Ross

Michelle Antinarelli (Alternate)

A scale model of the current vision created by the workshop can be seen at the Town Hall. Go see it! There will be an “ideas” box there as well. We’d love to hear from you, but be sure to leave your name, address, and email so we can contact you. Lastly, you can submit your idea, talent or vision on the “Submit an idea” link below.  We really want to hear from you.
